Prerequisites
You must have an understanding of the following:
- Foundations of Novell Open Enterprise Server for NetWare (Course 3080)
- Terminology, hardware, and practices, (such as routers, hubs, switches, backbones, and subnets) commonly used in medium to large enterprise networks.
Audience
This course is for students seeking the Novell Open Enterprise for NetWare Certified Novell Engineer (CNE) certification who have entry-level experience in managing computer networks. This course does not require that you have occupational experience with Novell products; however, it does assume you have some prior knowledge of Novell Open Enterprise Server for NetWare.

- CNE Test ID: 050-706. This is the test that will be published
- CNI Test ID: 050-906. This is the test ID that will be indicated in the certification database for candidates who pass 050-706 at the CNI level
